Boghampton is a fictitious terminal station on the south coast of the UK somewhere
between Portsmouth and Ramsgate, making good use of the current crop of Southern
Region EMU’s, 2-
Nearby is a newly established “Heritage Line” which has negotiated running rights into Boghamptons platform 4.
Listen carefully for the platform announcements and look for the photographer and his girlfriend. Note also the work gang removing track in front of the local Model Railway Club carriage opposite platform 1. Perhaps unusually the sector plate fiddle yard is completely visible to the public and attracts a lot of attention.
